This folder contains four items:
1. this text file (AuthMan & maX.500 README)
2. a control panel called "Authentication Manager"
3. a desk accessory called "Authentication Manager DA"
4. a text file called "Original AuthMan README"
The Authentication Manager (AuthMan) control panel needs to be installed and properly configured if you want to authenticate using your uniqname and Kerberos password to the X.500 directory using maX.500. Please see the maX.500 README file in the folder above this one, or the maX.500 online help for detailed installation instructions.
The desk accessory allows you manipulate the Kerberos ticket store that the AuthMan control panel maintains in memory on your Mac. You can invoke the authentication process manually and delete tickets using the desk accessory. Future versions of the desk accessory will allow you to change your Kerberos password.
The "Original AuthMan README" file is included for those who want to know all about the Authentication Manager control panel. None of the information that file should be needed to install and use AuthMan with maX.500.
